FlyQuest have announced the departure of Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas after three and a half years with the team, marking the end of an era that began back in early 2022 with Renegades. In his place, the organization has signed Justin “jks” Savage, bringing the experienced Australian rifler back to a home team for the first time since 100 Thieves disbanded in 2020. Elfishguy discusses how this roster move might affect FlyQuest moving forward. He highlights that jks brings not only experience but also more individual stability compared to Liazz, who struggled with a 0.86 Big Event rating over the past year. In contrast, jks maintained a higher 0.98 rating during his time with Liquid, despite limited playtime. Elfishguy believes this signing could help FlyQuest solidify their position within the top 20-30 global rankings. However, he also points out that integrating jks into the team’s current system quickly will be crucial. Overall, the move shows FlyQuest’s ambition to level up with a proven tier-one talent.
