In the first day after the release Counter-Strike 2 was played by more than 1.47 million players at the same time. This only brought the game closer to the CS:GO record.
The previous version had 1,818,773 simultaneous online players, a record set in May 2023.

about Sophia Williams
Former cynologist, current CS addict. I got into the game years ago and never really left — what kept me hooked wasn't the gameplay but everything around it: the teams, the people, the chaos behind the scenes at tournaments. I write about what I find interesting, and it's rarely just the scoreboard.
